GAADJI-GADJO

Inspired by klezmer, Gypsy, and Quebec music, GADJI-GADJO is a very engaging, magical, and pleasure-loving group. Their musical fieriness is contagious. With new exciting and elaborate compositions, performed by experienced musicians whose improvisation will surprise you, there is no doubt that GADJI-GADJO is establishing itself as a group to discover in Quebec’s musical landscape!

MARC ANGERS (former Star Académie performer)

During Star Académie 2005, Quebec discovered Marc Angers and his flaming red hair. With his haunting voice, touching compositions, and versatile repertoire, Marc has won the hearts of his audiences. Since the release of his album, L'Enfant-roi, Marc has been traveling through the province
non-stop. Sometimes solo, as a duo, or with his band, but never without his favourite instrument: his violin. His violin that makes us laugh, sing, cry, and especially, dance at will.

OLIVIER BROUSSEAU

Olivier, who still regards himself as a singer-songwriter, will bring a few friends along with him: Accompanying Olivier will be a "toe-tapper" (Isaël McIntyre) who fills in on the drums, a bass player (Benoit Marquis), and a guitar player (Mathieu Perreault) who also plucks the banjo and the dobro on occasion. Through song and good old traditional music, their sound wanders from folk to country!

NICOLAS PELLERIN ET LES GRANDS HURLEURS

In addition to having released an album with his brother in fall 2007, entitled “Fred et Nicolas Pellerin,” which sold over
45 000 copies, Nicolas Pellerin and his band won the Félix award for Traditional Album of the Year! Nicolas Pellerin’s new group explores traditional Quebec music in a nuanced, subtle, and captivating style. The trio of Pellerin, Simon Lepage and Simon Marion creates music that is fresh and innovative in its genre.

JAUNE

In fall 2010, JAUNE released a musical bomb: the album Au bout du vent. The highly unique nature of its approach makes for most captivating listening. This recording featuring rich musical arrangements is the group’s most accomplished, with a folk-festive flavour and songs that are always authentic. JAUNE explores daily life to create fascinating, poetic stories. JAUNE is gaining ground and is becoming a key part of the Quebec music scene.

KODIAK

With its recent second album La Mécanique, Kodiak is veering from its hip-hop origins towards a pop and world music style with folk-rock and reggae influences. Having lost none of its signature playfulness and energy, the band is now showing greater maturity with a distinctive sound and insightful lyrics that explore the peculiarities and the often paradoxal reality of human nature.
